Purpose and Scope
Manage the overall business relationship for accounts in the assigned territory. Develop and execute commercial and technical strategies to increase market share, improve profitability, and maximize working capital.
Required to travel >50% of the time, and eligible for Motus Reimbursement (Car Stipend).
Responsibilities

Overall sales responsibility for several large customers including forgers, machine shops, distribution and possible OEM.

Prepare, recommend, negotiate and execute commercial agreements aligned with business plan objectives

Develop strategic account plans which define the tactics and actions needed to support targeted growth

Initiate frequent visits and develop mid to high-level/decision-influencing customer contacts to foster key relationships to help promote customer intimacy

Identify new accounts, currently not serviced direct, to support applicable growth within assigned territory

Prepare and input accurate sales forecasts based on information from customers and knowledge of the market

Leverage customer relationship management tool to help drive effective sales management process to support both new opportunities as well as current and competitive issues

Identify value-add opportunities, either new product or upstream of currently supplied product, to further differentiate value and service offering from competitors

Monitor and address issues associated with past-due A/R, disputed items and customer finished inventory
Technical & Functional Skills

Demonstrated experience in growing accounts, value-based selling strategies and new business development

Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

Ability to manage medium, multi-faceted accounts

Strong negotiation and presentation skills

Strong technical knowledge in Metallus and customer’s markets and applications

Ability to identify and promote value add opportunities

Usage and knowledge of D365 Tool
Minimum Qualifications
-
Associate's degree in business or related degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Sales or Commercial.

Bachelor's degree in business or related degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sales or Commercial.

Master's degree in business or related degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in Sales or Commercial.
Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in engineering, business, or related degree with a minimum of 9 years of experience in Sales or Commercial.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Sales or Commercial.

Master's degree in engineering, business, or related with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Commercial.
