Hourly Rate:  

  • Starting at $26.25 per hour with a raise to $32.81 per hour upon completion of a 120 working day probationary period 

  • Opportunity to bid into higher paying positions after 120 working days.

Tube Mill Attendant 

The Tube Mill Attendant supports tube mill operations by monitoring material flow, operating production and material handling equipment, maintaining product identification, and ensuring safe, efficient production. This role helps keep the mill running smoothly by assisting with equipment setup, inspections, quality checks, and basic maintenance activities. This role will be assigned to the Gambrinus Tube Mills.  

Employees in this position may be required to operate or use equipment such as: Overhead cranes, lift trucks, billet charging equipment, furnaces, hot saws, conveyors, mill rolls and stands, gauges, calipers, scales, data collection devices, and various hand tools 

  • This position requires the ability to work a rotational and flexible shift, and may include holidays.   

  • Manufacturing work environment may include exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.  

  • On-the-job training is provided.  

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • High school diploma or GED. 

  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing/industrial environment. 

  • Ability to read basic work instructions, production documents, and measurements. 

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required. 

  • Ability to work around heat, noise, heavy equipment, and moving machinery. 

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment and production machinery. 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. 

 

Preferred Requirements 

  • Previous experience in tube mill, steel manufacturing, metal processing, or heavy industrial operations. 

  • Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment. 

  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, gauges, and scales. 

  • Knowledge of production quality standards and inspection procedures. 

  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and data entry. 

  • Mechanical maintenance or equipment adjustment experience. 

  • Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment. 

  • Overhead crane and/or forklift certification.
