Purpose:
The Supply Chain Analytics Professional I/II is responsible for supporting the various roles in supply chain through data analytics to enhance business performance. Along with supply chain, this position will also collaborate with others in the Metallus organization to provide support in cross-functional decision making. The Supply Chain Analytics Professional I/II will support the generation of ideas that result in better purchasing decisions, cost reduction, or improved operations while considering the overall cost.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data mining inside of our various supplier spend system.
- Participate in improvement projects as directed by management ensuring successful monitoring, control, and realization of value.
- Communicate with management in a clear and concise fashion on the results/status of their projects and responsibilities, such as with a written report or presentations to a group.
- Review the daily heat schedule in the online model to validate proper line up generation.
- Analyze different scrap types to determine the cost benefit of using certain materials and provide recommendations.
- Analyze value added reports to help ensure raw material purchasing inventory is meeting KPIs.
- Assist in the analytical review for the scrap buy plan process.
- Assist the planning organization with analytics to ensure proper routing and load building.
- Assist in developing and maintaining supplier scorecards/dashboards in power bi.
- Support the troubleshoot of scrap related melt shop issues and the review of daily scrap melts for yield, chemistry, and delays.
- Support general procurement in RFQ activities with analytics of spend.
- Help establish consistent processes and data sources for performing cost/benefit analysis in support of manufacturing and supply chain decisions to ensure consistent application of data, information, and analytical conclusions.
Technical Skills:
- Fluent in Power BI, Microsoft Office, JMP analytical software and Minitab
- Knowledge of SAP, Maximo
- Ability to solve problems

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or Metallurgy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or Metallurgy with 2 years of experience in data analytics.
