Internship Assignment: Full Time – Summer 2027

  • Start date: 05/17/2027

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce and eliminate swarf accumulation by supporting removal efforts and developing process improvements to prevent recurrence.

  • Develop detailed job plans to support critical projects for the 2027 shutdowns

  • Partner with team members to support and execute a designated safety improvement project.

  • Create step-by-step job plans and document processes within the LOGIC system to ensure standardization and accessibility.

  • Design and implement a structured tagging system for the IBA monitoring system to replace generic tags with clear, descriptive naming conventions.

  • Work with the Process Control Engineering (PCE) team to gain access to PLC/IBA tags and understand tagging processes, systems, and best practices.

 

Internship Qualifications:

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

  • Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester

  • Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university

  • Preferred majors: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency 

  • Experience with AutoCAD/Inventor
