Relocation will not be offered for this position. 

 

Purpose:

This position will lead, direct and supervise emergency services; administer all security and fire protection services and technologies provided by emergency services for all Metallus facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, physical security, perimeter security, asset protection, uniform guard services, fire protection system, maintenance and inspection. This position will ensure the timely and safe delivery of emergency services during times of high stress and serve as the shift leader. They will maintain responsibility for leading and directing a team of professional emergency responders. This position may be required to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate an emergency that has been reported and take immediate action to reduce or eliminate the risk to company employees and/or assets
  • Develop and deploy solutions for security and fire protection services based on the situation that will control and/or significantly reduce the company's risk, while at the same time controlling the cost to the company
  • Execute strategies, tactics and action plans for appropriate emergency responses to any event such as fire, medical emergency and toxic release; or any event that threatens human life or company property
  • Enforces all company and department rules, regulations, and guidelines
  • Lead, direct and supervise emergency services employees
  • Act as a coach and mentor to develop emergency services employees of all levels to their fullest potential

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 7 years of experience in a law enforcement, industrial security, or EMT role.
  • Ability to obtain Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification within first 6 months of employment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice with at least 4 years of experience in a law enforcement, industrial security, or EMT role.
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification
  • OPOTA Firearms certification
