Purpose and Scope

Responsible for estimating, quoting and launching new Government, Industrial, and Energy Manufactured Components programs. Responsible for performing engineering and process design review for new opportunities to ensure we are offering a competitive and quality solution. Types of parts in scope: steel and other metal components (no plastic or ceramic), cut bar and tube slugs, forgings, extrusions, green and finished machined parts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Development and Sales team to support new opportunities
  • Responsible for review of customer prints to determine ideal manufacturing process and supply chain for new opportunities
  • Responsible for putting together estimates (budgetary quotes) and firm quotes for customer RFQs
  • Contract review for new Launches – ensure review of technical and commercial requirements
  • Lead weekly cross functional launch meetings – ensure launch is on time
  • Reaction management of Launches – Manage the team through unexpected issues to resolution as they arise
  • Post launch profitability review – Profitability analysis
  • Support supply chain development
  • Support strategic product evolution

 

Technical / Functional Skills

  • Experience in project management or program management
  • Ability to influence cross functional team members 
  • Ability to weigh risks in decision making
  • Nimble and milestone driven
  • Experience with Microsoft projects or other project tracking software
  • Experience with Microsoft suite (Work, Excel, etc.) 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, program management, application engineering, marketing, new business development or related 

or

Masters degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, program management, application engineering, marketing, new business development or related

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of experience in project management, program management, application engineering, marketing, new business development or related 

or

Masters degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, program management, application engineering, marketing, new business development or related
