Internship Assignment: Full Time – Summer 2026

Perform metallurgical investigations or failure analyses to determine root cause of defects and steel quality issues

Produce quality investigative reports and material related documentation
-
Prepare metallographic samples (sample sectioning, mounting, polishing)

Utilize optical and scanning electron microscopy to evaluate metallurgical features
-
Analyze material for steel cleanness and characterization
Internship Qualifications:

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
-
Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2026 semester

Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university

Preferred majors: Materials Science, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering

Microsoft Office experience

Written and oral communication skills
