Purpose and Scope

 

As a vital part of the Human Resources (HR) organization, you will be instrumental in managing and continuously improving our human resource information systems (HRIS) and business processes. With your knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors functionality, you will drive a set of projects, manage releases and approve configuration changes, and work with HR process owners to maximize the benefits of all modules of SAP SuccessFactors. Additionally, you will develop and generate HR metrics, reports, and analytics from SAP SuccessFactors data to support decision-making by HR and organizational leadership and regulatory reporting requirements. You will be key in driving partnerships with SAP SuccessFactors, HR process owners, and third-party implementation partners.

 

Responsibilities

 

Planning & Execution

  • Collaborate with HR process owners, SAP SuccessFactors, IT, and third-party implementation partners to develop and implement release plans and strategies (e.g., plans, configuration, and HR readiness) and consider launch inputs, requirements, risks/issues, impacts, and scenarios to capture a working launch plan.
  • Consult HR process owners on planning SAP SuccessFactors changes, upgrades, and/or patches and recommendations on implementation to minimize customization.
  • Coordinate the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors changes, HR projects and enhancements whilst ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance within the system.

 

Risk Assessment & Mitigation

  • Assists the process of requirements gathering for human SAP SuccessFactors projects, upgrades, and changes; helps identify risks, issues, and barriers in project execution.
  • Evaluates launch risk landscape and leads teams in communicating risks to internal and external stakeholders. Provides guidance to teams to develop mitigation plans for acceptance of risks.
  • In conjunction with the HR role-based security processes and IT processes, manage proper and appropriate user access to SAP SuccessFactors.

 

Release & Configuration Management

  • Holds HR process owners accountable for evaluating the success of complex launches and obtains feedback from partners and customers to deeply understand.
  • Provides hyper-care support during complex, high impact launches for 30/60/90 days to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth running.
  • Supports the sustainment of key solutions and features – based upon an intake of work from HR process owners.

 

Change Management

  • Works with IT and other stakeholders to manage issue prioritization, coordination of system releases, implementation of release management, and readiness for system changes.
  • Drives collaboration across teams to engage and prepare audiences and evaluate results of changes/adoptions. Develops information and guidance that is shared through various tools and employee platforms.

 

Specialty Responsibilities

  • Drives roadmap planning between teams to address key priority areas, program/policy changes together with SAP SuccessFactors on roadmap and implementation.
  • Assists in creating plans and assigns resources (internal or external) for business User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, including writing and executing test scenarios and test cases, generating test data, troubleshooting bugs, confirming resolutions, and signing off on the product system readiness launch.

 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Serve as the organization's HR process owner for the reporting module of SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Act as the organization's thought leader on HR related data management and analytics, including the systems, tools, and processes required to provide this decision support service to the organization.
  • Lead and/or contribute to initiatives to translate HR data into useful business information through robust reporting and analytics, especially, but not exclusively, in the context of workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Develop standard reports/dashboards for routine requests. Implementing methods to reduce the time running reports/improve self-service opportunities among requestors/users.
  • Provides data for regulatory reporting requirements including, but not limited to, EEO-1, Affirmative Action Plans (AAP), VETS-4212, etc.
  • Provide ad hoc reports as requested and appropriate.

 

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Exceptional data analytics and data interpretation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Strong communication skills - ability to help translate data requests
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies and practices
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to operate with a high amount of confidentiality and professionalism

 

Qualifications

 

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or a relevant field
    • AND at least 7 years of relevant experience
  • OR master’s degree in human resources, business management or related
    • AND at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Willingness to become certified (where available) on all SAP SuccessFactors modules that are implemented or will be implemented within the organization

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or a relevant field
    • AND at least 9 years of relevant experience
  • OR master’s degree in human resources, business management or related
    • AND at least 7 years of relevant experience
  • Certification on multiple SAP SuccessFactors modules that are currently implemented within the organization and willingness to become certified in others
