Purpose:

Critical orders often involve complex requirements and tight timelines. Failure to manage these effectively can result in costly delays and customer dissatisfaction. By ensuring flawless handoffs and proactive oversight, this role protects the company’s reputation and supports strategic growth. The Order Chaser for Critical Orders ensures flawless execution of Aerospace, Defense, high-value material and government-rated customer orders by actively monitoring and driving progress through every stage of the process. This role exists to guarantee that all required documents, checklists, and handoff protocols are developed, in place and adhered to, minimizing risk and delays. This role will provide a high level of order oversight and tracking.  The role will also lead the development and refinement of these handoff processes to enable seamless transitions between functions and safeguard customer commitments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Order Tracking & Oversight: Monitor critical orders from entry through shipment, maintaining real-time visibility of status and proactively addressing delays or risks.
  • Handoff Process Development: Design, document, and implement standardized handoff procedures and checklists across all functional interfaces (manufacturing, labs, supply chain, shipping).
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all required documentation (specifications, certifications, quality checks) is complete and accurate at each stage of the process.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential failure points in the workflow and implement safeguards such as double-verification and error-proofing measures.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the liaison between operations, quality, supply chain and commercial teams to resolve issues quickly and maintain alignment on priorities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback and analyze process performance to refine handoff protocols and reduce variability in critical order execution.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related with four years of experience manufacturing, quality, order management or logistics. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related with two years of experience manufacturing, quality, order management or logistics.
