Purpose and Scope
The technician is responsible for directing and performing all the operational and maintenance objectives of Dueber Corporate Offices. Perform preventative maintenance, assist with executing repairs, troubleshoot to diagnose issues, plan and execute projects, utilize Maximo and Power BI software, develop scope of work, obtain quotes, direct and supervise contractors, ensure safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Metallus Perimeter fencing for canton facilities
- PM and PdM management
- General maintenance of Dueber Campus facilities including painting, building repairs, road repairs, moving and/or reconfiguring cubicle space, routine daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
- Directing and managing contractors and/or vendors
- Managing expense spending budgets
- Executing a successful power outage day
- Will be the first responder to all environmental incidents and contacting the required personnel in a timely manner while filling out the appropriate reports. Will also perform investigations for safety incidents and near-miss incidents.
- Other miscellaneous projects as needed
- Normal work schedule would be days Monday thru Friday, but there would be occasional need for working off shift hours and weekends.
Technical/Functional Skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical priorities and resources
- Knowledge and experience of carpentry, electrical, and mechanical
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals (operators, engineers, technicians, maintainers, contractors, and management) within and outside the business
- Strong leadership skills
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 5 years of Carpentry, Mechanical, Electrical, General Contracting or Relevant Experience
or
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technician, General Contracting or similar with at least 3 years of Carpentry, Mechanical, Electrical, General Contracting or Relevant Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 8 years of Carpentry, Mechanical, Electrical, General Contracting or Relevant Experience
or
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technician, General Contracting or similar with at least 5 years of Carpentry, Mechanical, Electrical, General Contracting or Relevant Experience
